We all have a past. Some parts of it are beautiful, others are lessons wrapped in mistakes, and a few chapters we’d rather not re-read. But the beauty of life is that we are not bound to who we used to be—we evolve, we learn, and we grow.
I want to take a moment to address those who find it necessary to remind me of my past, especially when it comes to my livelihood.
First, I acknowledge my journey. I’ve walked roads that taught me resilience, roads that humbled me, and roads that made me stronger. I am not ashamed of where I’ve been because those experiences have shaped the person I am today—one who is striving every day to be better, to contribute, and to uplift others. Growth is real, and I stand firmly in mine.

Second, I understand that some people are more comfortable with the version of me that no longer exists. That’s okay. Change is hard to accept, especially when it forces people to confront their own limitations. But my progress does not diminish anyone else’s. If anything, I hope it serves as a reminder that transformation is possible for all of us.
Lastly, I extend grace. I won’t hold resentment toward those who attempt to tarnish my reputation or hinder my success based on my past. Instead, I choose to move forward with clarity, confidence, and integrity. My focus is on the present and the future, on building something meaningful, and on making a positive impact in the spaces I occupy.
If you’ve ever faced someone trying to hold you back by weaponizing your past, let this be a reminder: You are not defined by what you’ve been through. You are defined by how you rise above it. Keep growing, keep moving, and most importantly—keep being unapologetically you.
To those who support me, uplift me, and see the person I am today, I appreciate you. And to those who don’t, I hope one day you find the peace that allows you to embrace change, in others and within yourself.
